6-day Machu Picchu tour Itinerary

Day 1: City Tour Cusco

We will pick you up at the airport in Cusco, and then transfer you to the hotel. You will have the morning free to acclimatize and at 11:00 a.m. we will pick you up at the hotel to start the City Tour Cusco. The first visit will be to the Coricancha or Temple of the Sun (place where the sun god was worshipped). Then in a tourist bus we will go to the outskirts of the city of Cusco where we will visit the archaeological sites of: Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Puca Pucara and Tambomachay. After the tour we will return to the city of Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.

Day 2: Sacred Valley of the Incas

Pick up from hotel in Cusco. The tour will start at 8:00 a.m. approximately. Then we will go by tourist bus to the Sacred Valley of the Incas, the first stop will be in the archaeological complex of Pisac where we will make a guided tour, the next stop will be the handicraft market of Pisac, where we can appreciate textiles and jewelry. Then we will go to Urubamba where we will have a buffet lunch (included in the tour). After lunch we will go to Ollantaytambo, where we will first visit the archaeological complex and then we will go to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes. Overnight in Aguas Calientes.

Day 3: Machu Picchu

At dawn after breakfast at the hotel, we head to the bus station where our guide will be waiting for you to ascend 400 m on a road between the mountains to reach the Inca City of Machu Picchu. You will pass the controls of the entrance of the citadel, and then begin with the guided tour, you will visit the main sites of the citadel: the enclosure of the guardian, the temple of the sun, the Intihuatana, the temple of the three windows, the sacred square, the temple of the condor, the sacred rock and others, the guided tour will be for more than 2 hours. At the end of the tour you will have free time to stroll around the citadel and take pictures. After the guided tour in Machu Picchu begin to descend by bus to Aguas Calientes (free time), in the afternoon you will take the train back to Ollantaytambo (be at the station 30 min before the departure time of your train), arriving at the train station in Ollantaytambo, we will be waiting to take you to the city of Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.

Day 4: Humantay Lagoon

Pick up from hotel in Cusco. The tour will begin at 4:00 a.m. approximately. Then we will go by tourist bus to the town of Mollepata, here we will have breakfast and do last minute shopping, then we will continue the trip for another 1 hour until we arrive to Soraypampa. Once we arrive we will get ready and start with our 1 hour and 45 minutes walk to the Humantay Lagoon (those who do not wish to walk can rent a horse), upon arrival we will observe the breathtaking view of the Nevado Humantay. In the Humantay Lagoon we will spend 45 minutes exploring the place and taking pictures, after the visit we will return to Soraypampa, then we will go to Mollepata to enjoy an energizing lunch, after lunch we will return to Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.

Day 5: 7-color mountain tour

Pick up from hotel in Cusco. The tour will start at 4:00 a.m. approximately. From the city of Cusco we will transfer to the district of Cusipata, here we will have breakfast and then continue traveling until we reach the community of Phulawasipata. In this place we will begin our hike, the first part will be about 1 hour walking at a slow pace (those who do not wish to walk can rent a horse), after the hike we will arrive at the 7 Colors Mountain where we will be with the guide about 45 minutes exploring the place and taking pictures. Afterwards, we will continue our hike back to the starting point, then we will go by tourist transport to Cusipata, where we will stop for lunch and then return to Cusco. In Cusco you will spend the night.

Day 6: transfer you to the airport

We will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport. See you again
