7 day Peru and Machu Picchu Itinerary
Day 01: Welcome at Lima airport and City Tour in Lima:
- Welcome and transfer from Lima airport to the Hotel.
- City tour Lima “City of Kings”. (from 2:00 to 5:00 in the afternoon).
- Overnight at Hotel in Lima.
Lima CityThis day we will be waiting for you at the airport in the city of Lima at the time of arrival of your flight to give you a warm welcome at the international airport “Jorge Chavez” and transfer to the Hotel.
In the afternoon we will pick you up from your hotel to start the City tour in “The City of Kings” Lima, on the way we will make a stop in the smallest district of Lima, Barranco where highlights its famous Bridge of Sighs, the Hermitage and the monument to Isabel Granada Larco “Chabuca Granda”. We continue our tour in the tourist transport to Miraflores where we will visit the Parque del Amor located on the boardwalk, from where you can take beautiful pictures overlooking the Pacific Ocean, we will have a panoramic view of the Huaca Pucllana, temple Pre Inca religious and administrative center inhabited between the third and eighth centuries AD.
After 6 km we will arrive at the gates of the historic center of Lima where we will appreciate the Palace of Justice, the Paseo de los Heroes Navales, the French Palace and colonial buildings such as the Plaza Mayor, the Government Palace, the Archbishop’s Palace, the Cathedral Basilica, the Municipal Palace, the Plaza San Martin, among others.
Following our tour through the Church and Convent of San Francisco, we will visit its impressive subway crypts known as Catacombs.
Day 02: Travel from Lima to Cusco and City tour in Cusco:
- Breakfast at the Hotel.
- Transfer from the hotel in Lima to the airport.
- Morning flight from Lima to Cusco.
- Welcome and transfer from the airport in Cusco to the hotel.
- City tour in Cusco: Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha,
- Cusco Cathedral, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay (from 1:00 PM to 6:20 PM).
- Overnight at Hotel in Cusco.
City of Cusco PeruThis day begins with the flight from Lima to Cusco that you will take at the airport “Jorge Chavez” in the city of Lima with 2 hours before your flight to the “Archaeological Capital of America” Cusco (altitude 3350 m.a.s.l.), where our staff will be waiting for you at the airport with a sign with your name to transfer you to the selected hotel, where you will be offered a good coca leaves tea for acclimatization of the place.
After lunch, we will pick you up from your hotel at the time indicated by your travel agent, to start and enjoy a guided tour at 1:00 PM. in the afternoon where you can visit the following tourist attractions of the city of Cusco: The Temple of the Sun or Qoricancha, The Cathedral of Cusco, Sacsayhuaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara and Tambomachay.
You will be returning to Cusco at 6:20 pm.
Overnight at selected hotel.
Day 03: Tour in the Sacred Valley of the Inkas and train ride to Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes):
Option A:

Itinerary Plan B:
OllantaytamboWe will pick you up from your hotel at the time indicated by your travel agent, starting the tour at 8:00 am. m heading for a paved road to the town of Pisac, located 32 km from the city of Cusco, Pisac being a typical Andean town where the famous handicraft and archaeological craft fairs are held in their typical markets where you can shop and enjoy a guided tour of the archaeological sites of the place; continuing our journey of about an hour we will pass through different villages such as: Coya, Lamay, the province of Calca, Yucay appreciating the scenic beauty of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. We will go to the town of Urubamba where we will enjoy a delicious buffet lunch in the cozy restaurant “Tunupa”. Later we will go to the town of Ollantaytambo (It is the only Incan city in Peru that is still inhabited) to visit the archaeological complex of the same name; having been an agricultural, administrative, social, religious and military complex in the Tahuantinsuyo, ending the tour at 4:00 pm approximately: 00 pm approximately, you will have free time in the town of Ollantaytambo, where you can visit its craft market with more time, visit its streets that still keeps the layout of the Inca streets, watching the water flow through its ancient canals, it is like going back in time ideal for taking pictures, you can also take a coffee in the Plaza de Armas. At the indicated time, you should take the train from Ollantaytambo that leaves at 19:00 pm to the town of Aguas Calientes where our staff will be waiting to transfer you to the selected hotel.
Day 04: Guided Tour in Machupicchu and Optional: Ascent to Huaynapicchu or Machupicchu Mountain

- Transfer from your hotel in Cusco to Poroy train station (25 minutes from Cusco).
- Train from Poroy – Cusco to Aguas Calientes – Machu

Itinerary Plan B:
Machupicchu Inca Citadel
After breakfast, according to the schedule of your entrance ticket to Machupicchu, in coordination with the guide, who will visit you the day before at your hotel in Aguas Calientes, you will take the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machupicchu (altitude 2450 m.a.s.l.). m) that lasts 30 minutes approximately, at the scheduled time with the guide, you will have your guided tour of approximately 2 hours, being able to visit: the Main Square, the Solar Observatory, The Guardian’s House, The Inca’s House, the Sacred Solar Clock, The Royal Quarters, The Temple of the Three Windows and the Cemeteries.
Before or after your guided tour in Machupicchu, depending on the schedule established in your entrance tickets, you will have some free time to explore Machupicchu by yourself or use your tickets to climb Huaynapicchu Mountain (3 hours of visit) from where you can appreciate a spectacular view of the entire Machupicchu Valley or Machupicchu Mountain (4 hours of visit) which gave the name to Machupicchu with a unique scenic beauty and a spectacular view.
(Note: does not include income to the Huaynapicchu and Machupicchu mountains, if you need to climb the mountains, you must consult spaces and add $ 65 per person).
This travel program is ideal for touring Machupicchu in its entirety and take pictures with enough time until the time you decide to return by bus to Aguas Calientes so you can have lunch in the same town.
In the afternoon you will board the Expedition train (included in the Tourist Package) to Cusco where our staff will be waiting for you at the train station to transfer you to your hotel in Cusco.
Day 05: Guided Tourist Bus Trip from Cusco to Puno.
Breakfast at the Hotel.
- 6:20 AM. Transfer from the hotel in Cusco to the Inca Express bus terminal.
- 6:50 AM. to 5:00 PM – Travel by guided tourist bus from Cusco to Puno – Inka Express.
- 5:00 PM. Transfer from the Inka Express bus terminal to the Hotel in Puno.
- Overnight at Hotel in Puno.
- We will pick you up from your hotel at 6:20 am to transfer you to the tourist bus terminal, for your trip to Puno, (altitude 3818 m.a.s.l.).
Our bus is equipped with restrooms and is driven by three people: a driver, a bilingual guide and a terramoza. We will make a short visit to the church of Andahuaylillas, the church that dates from the early seventeenth century. It is known as the Sistine of South America for its magnificent paintings and its altar carved in gold. After 218 Km. we will have arrived at Raqchi, where the Inca temple of Wiracocha is located.
We will continue our way to Sicuani where we will be able to enjoy a delicious buffet lunch.
We head to La Raya, the highest point of our tour, located at 4,335 meters above sea level. Our next destination is Pucara, where we will visit the Lithic Museum and finally our tour will be through high Andean esplanades under an unreal clarity.
In the city of Puno our staff will be waiting for you to transfer you to your hotel.
Day 06: Tour in Lake Titicaca, Los Uros and Taquile.
- Breakfast at the Hotel.
- Tour in Lake Titicaca, Uros Floating Island and
- Taquile (from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm).
- Overnight at Hotel in Puno
We will pick you up at your hotel at 6:30 a.m. approx. to transfer you to the port and start the tour in a tourist boat to the amazing and majestic “Islands of the Uros”, arriving at 07:50 a.m. approx. Uros: These islands are artificial floors, made with overlapping totora and skillfully interwoven. During the trip the guide provides extensive information about Lake Titicaca, the legends of the Uros, their uses, customs and folklore; Taquile: Arriving in Taquile, we will go to its Plaza de Armas, free time for shopping.

At 12:40 noon you will enjoy a delicious lunch, leaving the port of Taquile at 2:30 pm and arriving in Puno at 5:30 pm approx. and then transfer to your hotel.
Day 07: Transfer from hotel in Puno to Juliaca airport.

- Travel by plane from Juliaca to Lima
This day according to the flight schedule from the city of Juliaca to Lima you will be transferred from the Hotel in Puno to the airport of Juliaca (1-hour trip from Puno) 3 hours in advance of your flight schedule to arrive on time and make the respective procedures for boarding the plane.
