3-day Machu Picchu tour from Lima Itinerary
Day 1: Lima – Cusco – City Tour
Arrive in the city of Cusco and transfer to the chosen hotel. You will have the morning free to acclimatize to the altitude.
Between 13:20 and 13:45 hrs. we will pick you up from your hotel to start with the visit to the historical center of the city and its surroundings:
The temple Qoricancha and Convent of Santo Domingo: Religious center known as the “Temple of the Sun” highlights the impressive engineering used in its construction.
The Cathedral of Cusco: Colonial religious monument of extraordinary artistic value.
Sacsayhuaman: It is an impressive fortress of monumental stones and excellent architecture. It is famous for its enormous carved stones, some of which are 9 m / 30 feet high and weigh more than 350 tons. The Inti Raymi or “Festival of the Sun” is celebrated here every year.
Q’enqo: It was a ceremonial and ritual center, where sacrifices were performed.
Puca-Pucara: It is an ancient “tambo”, which functioned in Inca times as a guard post along the Inca roads.
Tambomachay: 7 km from the city of Cusco, ceremonial center of water worship, traditionally known as the place of the waters.
The tour ends at 18:30 hrs. Return to the hotel.
On the way back to Cusco we can drop you off near the main square of Cusco or at the Qosqo Native Art Center where you can see typical dances of Cusco.

Day 2: Machu Picchu Excursion
Breakfast at the hotel.
05:45 hrs to 06:00 hrs. We pick you up from your hotel in Cusco (3400 masl) and take you to the train station, located in Poroy, then we board the train and head to Aguas Calientes (2000 masl).
Arrival to Machu Picchu Pueblo train station. Our guide will be waiting there, he will take us to the bus station, to go up by a 30 minutes road to the Historic Sanctuary of Machu Picchu.
Guided tour in Machu Picchu for 2 hours approximately, we will visit: the main square, the Circular Tower, the sacred solar clock, the Intihuatana, the royal rooms, the temple of the three windows and the cemeteries.
At the end of this tour we will take the bus down to Machu Picchu Pueblo where we will have lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
In the afternoon, between 15:30 hrs and 17:00 hrs we will return by train to Cusco.
20.00 hrs. Arrival in Cusco and transfer to your hotel.

We will be at your hotel at least two hours before your flight departs to take you to the airport.
Day 3: Hotel pick-up and transfer to the airport
You must check your flight ticket and pay the airport tax. This is the end of the tour.
