Huacachina Sandboarding Tour Itinerary
09:30 / 15:30 Meet at the Outside entrance Carola Lodge
We will pick you up at Outside entrance Carola lodge hotel half an hour before the tour begins 09:30 or 15:30, then we will ahead to the majestic desert of Huacachina, located about five kilometers from the Peruvian city of Ica, to start a buggy tour.
Huacachina to the buggy
Upon arrival, we will hear from our guide about the history of the famous Huacachina oasis. Then, in a buggy through the desert, we will begin our adventure, taking pictures of the dunes and the exotic landscapes of this captivating natural space.
Sandboarding adrenaline
Throughout the tour, along with the whimsical sand formations sculpted at random by the winds’ action, we can enjoy the eastern part of the Peruvian Andes. We’ll also stop in front of a dune cluster to practice sandboarding, one of the desert’s most common sports! Onboard a special board designed to ride on the sand, we will enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience, a real adrenaline rush! Once the sandboarding activity is over, we will return to the Huacachina lagoon through the sandy Peruvian desert.

Note: New Years Day (31st December) & January 1st are the busiest time of the year in Huacachina. The oasis has huge crowds and ALL operators shorten their tour and increase their price. On this day the tour duration will be limited to one hour but the price will remain unaffected.
