Departure at 9 am from Cusco
We will pick you up from your respective hotels 30 minutes before the start of the South Valley Cusco Tour, we will take you to the southeast of the city of Cusco, then visit places of interest such as Tipon, which has 12 impressive sites The fertile land and water source of the terrace (terrace) together constitute a masterpiece of water conservation projects. Tipon
Tipon is one of the best examples of agricultural terraces created by the Incas.
Tipon is said to have been a royal garden commissioned by the Inca Wiracocha.
These terraces extend through the narrow valley and are fed by springs coming from the Apu (mountain) Pachatusan.
There is also a complex of temples, irrigation canals and aqueducts.
This archaeological complex is located 25 kilometers southeast of the city of Cusco.
Tipon – Pikillacta
After visiting Tipon we are gonna go to Pikillaqta was a pre-Inca citadel built south of Cusco.
This adobe complex was built by the Wari culture between 700 and 900 AD.
A few meters from the area, you can see a small Inca site known as ‘Rumicolca’, which functioned as a kind of toll for travelers who walked through the place.
Pikillaqta-Andahuaylillas
Andahuaylillas is one of the colonial towns south of Cusco.
In this village you will find an ancient church known as ‘The Sistine Chapel of America’.
It is home to gilded altars, paintings of the Cusco school and multi-colored ceilings.
The chapel is quite simple and modest on the outside. However, once inside you will see the wonderful interior decorated by works of art of the famous ‘Cusco School’.
