Colca Canyon 2 days Itinerary
Day 1: Arequipa to Colca Valley
We will pick you up from your accommodation in Arequipa between 7:30 am and 8:20 am, and then set off for the canyon from there. We will head to Pampa Cañahuas in the Aguada Blanca National Nature Reserve. This is the hometown of llamas, llamas and alpacas. Here you can take a selfie of your dreams with alpacas! Before reaching our last destination, Chivay, we will also stop at Mirador de Los Andes, Chucura crater, and Mirador de Chivay to capture amazing photos. We will arrive in Chivay around 1:00 pm, where we will have lunch and check-in in the cabin. You can choose to visit the hot springs or explore the town. In the evening, we will gather for dinner, enjoy folk performances, dance and sing.
DAY 2: COLCA VALLEY to the CRUZ DEL CONDOR to AREQUIPA
After breakfast at 6:00 am, we will depart for Cruz del Condor, where we may see the famous Andean condor flying majestic above us. We will take you into different perspectives of the canyon so that you can discover and appreciate the beauty of the second deepest canyon in the world! On the way back to Chivay, we will stop at Yanque Village to visit the beautiful church, its stone streets, and other attractions. To enjoy the magnificent view of the valley, we will head to the sights of Choquetipo and Artahuilque, where you will see the pre-Inca mausoleum-make sure you have room for your camera!
17.00 – 17.30 Hotel and hostel drop off; end of the tour
After having lunch at a local restaurant, we will return to Arequipa and arrive at approximately 5:30 pm. We will transfer you directly to your hotel or hostel.
Notes: The entrance fee to Colca Canyon is 70 soles, which is not included in the tour price. You will need to pay during the trip. -For those who wish to end in Puno: When we return to Chivay at 1 pm, there will only be 15 minutes for lunch to go to Puno. Arrive in Puno at 7 pm, and then transfer to Puno’s Plaza de Armas (Plaza de Armas). -The rainy season is from December to March. We recommend bringing rain gear and changing clothes.
