Paracas Huacachina Full Day Itinerary
07:45 hrs. Pick up from the bus terminal- Transfer to the office.
07:50 hrs. transfer to the dock.
The tour starts at the artisanal and tourist pier of El Chaco where we board our boat and observe in principle the type of boats that are used in the two main activities in the district of Paracas: Tourism and fishing.
08:00 hrs. tour Ballestas Islands
we will board our boat with 02 outboard motors that will take us to the wonderful Ballestas Islands, the most important wildlife sanctuary of the Peruvian coast, you will observe sea lions, boobies, pelicans, penguins, and other seabirds. We sail through the bay of Paracas and see the largest peninsula we have in Peru. We then stop at a northern point of the Paracas peninsula to look, photograph and film the Candelabro where the tour guide will explain in brief the measurements, materials of the area, and its possible origin. The navigation continues and after approximately 15 minutes from the Candelabro, you will reach the Ballestas Islands where you will find great biodiversity thanks to the Humboldt current and the upwelling phenomenon in addition to other factors such as sun and winds. Birdwatchers will find a great number of birds such as seagulls, terns, boobies, cormorants, pelicans, vultures, and Humboldt penguins. You will also see crustaceans, echinoderms, mollusks, seaweeds, and others. Definitely, the start of the tour is the sea lion who steals the attention of everyone because of its curious behavior (they sleep, “pose for the cameras”, or simply socialize and live without problems because they occupy the top of the food chain in the area without natural predators). The return trip becomes relaxing and enjoying the sea breeze is a natural anti-stress.
10:00 hrs. Return from the tour. Free time.
11:00 hrs. Transfer to Ica – (TOURIST BUS).
12:30 hrs. Reception in Ica – Transfer to the office.
13:00 hrs. Beginning of the City Tour Ica (2 ½ HOURS APROX)
We will visit following the places: Plaza de Armas of the city of Ica; you can appreciate the 2 beautiful obelisks which represent the 2 great cultures that flourished in the department of Ica. Artisan wine cellar “El Catador”; where, you will have the explanation of the wine and the pisco, but made in an artisan way, where you will appreciate the wine press that is used for the treading of the grape. Lunch on behalf of the Passenger Sanctuary of Luren; we will be able to appreciate the current state of the church after the earthquake of August 2007. Huacachina Lagoon; known as the oasis of America, a beautiful place surrounded by palm trees and immense dunes.
16:05 hrs.Buggies & Sandboarding in Huacachina. Where you can experience adrenaline and adventure sports like sandboarding (1 HOUR).
Later we will go to Ica, we will visit the winery El Catador, where we will take a tour to the winery where we will taste the good wine and pisco produced by the winery. Then we will visit the Plaza de Armas where we will appreciate the 2 beautiful obelisks representing the 2 great cultures that flourished in the department of Ica and the Sanctuary of Luren. Then we will move to visit the Huacachina Lagoon and learn about its legend, for those who like adrenaline will be able to ride in the tubular by the Dunes and practice sandboarding, it will be full fun!
18:00 hrs. Transfer to Ica Bus Terminal or hotel. End of service.
